Celebrating 85 Years of Agricultural History: The National FFA 85th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Collection

GRAFTON, WI (Tuesday, February 13, 2013/Coins of America) — Coins of America announced today the launch of its Limited Edition National FFA 85th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Collection designed specifically to commemorate the history and accomplishments of the National FFA Organization.  Each limited edition collection costs $19.95 and includes a 39mm colored challenge coin, a 12-page booklet and a 7” x 17” legacy package.

“At MPI, we strive to produce products that honor the heroes of our country. Our unsung heroes – American agriculturists – all too often do not receive the recognition they deserve. For more than 85 years, the National FFA Organization has been an integral part of agricultural education, helping millions of young men and women become leaders in the industry of agriculture. We are honored to have created a product that celebrates this milestone in FFA history,” said Tom Multerer, president of MPI Corporate.

MPI is proud to be an official licensee of the National FFA Organization.  Royalties from the sale of the National FFA 85th Commemorative Coin Collection will benefit FFA programs and members, as well as agricultural education.

Challenge One Another to Keep Agriculture Moving Forward The National FFA 85th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Collection follows the time honored tradition of challenge coins. Challenge Coins have a deep-rooted history as a way for members to carry their identity at all times. If a fellow carrier of a challenge coin “challenges” another, it is with pride and confidence that the coin is presented as proof of commitment to the organization.

Each National FFA 85th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Collection features key symbols from FFA history including the National FFA emblem and the National FFA motto – Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.

MPI challenges current FFA members, FFA alumni and members of the National FFA Foundation to carry the 85th Anniversary Commemorative Challenge Coin as a reminder to continually learn and serve.
